There were times when I was bored, and would watch maple videos on youtube. Some of the videos were very good (such as the "Maple Combat" series). Maybe, there is some small feeling of envy for the video makers. So i decided to put my mind and hands to the creativity test. So, here it is! Check it out:

This is Madness!

I still can't get over the movie "300" even though its been months since I last watched it. Today, it so happened I chanced across this picture over the internet. Interesting huh?

When I stirred from my afternoon nap, I realized its 4.30pm! I did a fast change into my exercise attire and took a cab to Maju Camp for my very 1st IPPT Test after I ORD'ed. After most people have arrived, the PTI gathered everyone at the training shed and gave a rough overview of everything before the test commence.

I took the 1st station. Standing Broad Jump, and I got a 243cm jump length. Lucky lucky my legs are still the same. Sit ups at 40 counts, abs are still there. Shuttle run at 9.5 secs, technique still there. Pull ups... pui... 9. At least its still within silver standard.

After all the static stations, I proceeded to take my most dreaded station. The 2.4km run. I was hoping that I was able to get 11.40 or less to achieve $200 monetary reward. I've even planned a strategy of 3/4/4, the time im minutes required for each rounds (3 rounds around the camp). Start time, and I was off... seems quite relaxing during the 1st round, untill I completed it and reached the electronical scoreboard. My time = 3mins 51sec! Almost 4 mins for 1st round. Goddammit! I panicked and abandoned tactics instantly. And when the end point was in sight, I dash till my lung were out to pass the finish line at 12mins 15sec. I was severely breathless as I rapidly gasp for air... Crappy timing. Even my secondary school timing was better than this! 5 secs less I would have no no no money to claim! With my scores so far, I was eligible for $100.

Kinda bitter-sweet. Happy in the sense that it was over and I do not need to take the test for another year, and also at least to have a hundred bucks in my pocket. Sad is that I missed out another additional $100. If I had just tried harder for running.

Below: Simply looking yet complex. Sometimes the smallest tasks takes the largest effort...

CA's PBIL is really making me become a blur cork... After wiring up the circuit and, the output waveform on the oscilloscope becomes a square wave, and that is totally wrong! (Expected waveform is a sine wave). The circuit seems ok though. And after many attempts at wiring and re-wiring the entire circuitboard. The output waveform finally becomes what is simulated in the Circuitmaker software. And hell... 5 hours to wire get things working (only)! One down, many many more to go...Hell's Holidays has just begun.

Oh yea, tomorrow 5pm is my IPPT. Its really been a long time since I took it. I know I'm kinda in a bad shape. But I hope I'll have enough grit to grind out at least $200, and in turn will lighten my expenses for this December.

Happy Pre-Bday Earns Bro!

Below: Good show, worth the money!
Below: AVP2! I must watch it!

Below: Well executed surprise that caught Earns off-guard.

Today I was out meeting the guys at Yishun to pre-celebrate Earns' 18th Birthday. The guys at the scene include JianLiang, Alvin, YiMing, YiBin, YiSan MingDa, Andrew, Kelvin, Andy, JianLiang's younger bro, Earns and myself. We had dinner (courtesy of Earns) beside at a coffeeshop beside the Mac where we used to study.

After dinner, the whole gang of us (minus YiMing, JianLiang and MingDa) went to Northpoint to catch a show. We intended to watch "The Warlords" starring Andy Lau and Jet Li, and I was kinda expecting that movie. I didn't know because, I went to the toilet to do some business. And, when the show started, I was expecting something along the fighting genre. But least did I expect the humming of chipmunks! Alvin and the Chipmunks! lol! I also like that show! There were many scenes in the show that made everyone laugh out loud!

After the show, Alvin (not the chipmunk) pulled out a surprise by getting a cake out somewhere, and automatically, everyone sang to the "Happy Birthday" tune in tribute to Earns! Well executed surprise! A good day, a happy day, and definitely a memorable one for Earns!

For My Brothers

Witm my flu, I dragged myself to Orchard Road to buy 2 pairs of shoes for my 2 bro's upcoming birthday, happening on the 22nd December. These 2 Puma Shoes [Puma Tempo] are of the latest designs, staying in the market for about 3-4 months or so only. One of then is in Black Coffee/Vapourous Gray, the other is Cactus Green/White. Spent a total of SGD$200 on them. All I wish is that it fits their sizes and I hope they will like it.

Now, all I need to do is to find a place in my room to store them for the time being...

Tomorrow I've to book in camp for some kinda reservist briefing thingie. I was expecting to drag myself up at 5am in the morning the following day. But Daniel Lim suggested that I stayed overnight at NTU hostel! Brilliant idea haha. Ages since I caught up with my buddies! Thought of lots of activities tonight and don't think we'll sleep early MUAHA!

I'm starting to get worried about my condition for my IPPT. About more than a week ago, I've strained my inner right thigh muscle due to soccer. Today, I actually still had a bit of strain, but still I chose to go for soccer with the Jian Liang, Mun Chee and those guys. What a mistake...

The longer I played, the worse I aggrivated the muscle. Also I picked up additional injuries. My leftmost 3 toes of my left foot experience a huge "CRACK!" when I slammed my foot into Mun Chee's shin. Also, my last 3 fingers of my right hand unknowingly got cut from the metal grille surrounding the street soccer court. It bled non-stop for an hour or so... I was like "Freak, small cut can bleed so much??" Plus, I wasn't wearing any shoes that whole time, so... I got blisters under my foot too...

Actually today... I wanted to go home after school. But since Earns and Jian Liang were so persistance in my presence, I might as well give them face and go for the soccer game since I was invited. Well what are friends for? Neither can I blame anyone for my injuries...

Kiasuism in FC2

Below: Only Kiasu people do this...

Yea, the sight of this really made me my fingers itch for a picture. As I was in FC2 with Earns and JianLiang for lunch, I saw a water bottle and a couple pack of tissue papers used to "chop" 2 seats. Oh man, this really pisses me off and I really had the impulse to flick the 2 packs of tissues on the floor! Waterbottle, nevermind, at least, it looks like something that is owned by someone. But tissue paper?! Oh god... Ok, as I was eating, I kept a lookout for the 3... well actually 2 culprits. And.... they finally arrived...

Lecturers!! All 3 aunties! What the heck, even lecturers do have their ugly side! At least consider me humane as I spared them the blushes, as I finally decided not to lash my tongue at them or take a picture of them and post here. Should be ashamed of yourselves!

Earns told me before that he wanted to get a new bag as his Billabong bag was ripped. Also to the delight to his newfound song, he decided to get a brand new guitar + case. And today, I accompanied him to Beach Road the Army Market to get his bag. $23 is really dirt-cheap and you can never get that kind of price anywhere for a bag that is reasonably big and has many compartments as well as a sponge backing for comfort. It is the Civil Defence full-pack, but hey, who said you can't make a fashion statement with that bag?

Prior to buying the bag, we received last-minute info that we are needed to attended the ITP talk. Its is compulsory and its attendence will count towards the marks for that module. So we met JQ 1st at Vivocity and went for the talk. I know the pay for ITP sucks big time. But no choice, its counted as part of polytechnic assessment.

December is coming... and wonder will I ever get to find time to chiong maple x2 experience. Definitely, with my BAD results, I'll have to work double-hard too. Its just a matter on how I prioritize my time.

After a much stressful MST week, I've managed to heave a sigh of relief. This time, the MST is not that easy. Given the commitment I've put into the exam. I guess I'll never even get an "A". Heck... I'll have to work harder for the remaining of the semester!

Yesterday after dinner, I met Melvin at Chinatown and we went to Cherry Bar. It was our first time there, and the ambience of the club was quite similiar to Rush/Sparks with all those turning spotlights and other lighting effects. It seems that every alternate hour, there would be a live band performing various music. Thai Rappers/singers performing as well as hot thai chicks on the dancefloor and poles. For the remaining alternate hours, the music switches between RnB, Pop Dance, Trance and Techno. And when it was Techno Tiu time, the both of us took centerstage! Sad to say that much of the music did not suite our taste. We went to a nearby coffeeshop for some food and later went back for more.

After another round of dancing, there was this group of 1 guy and 2 ladies who came up to us and offered us some drinks as token of friendship. They also invited us to sit and drink with them. Melvin and I was like uhh.. kinda strange but ok... I guess, returning the compliments next time is only right.

Below: No, it ain't history. Just the Sepia Effect from Ah Mei's new Sony Ericsson phone.

Just now after breakfast, the trio of us went Clementi Central for a lunch, and paid Ah A a visit at his workplace. For the past 2 weeks in Singapore, I guess Ah Xian had fun. She was like lamenting to me that she did not want to go back to Kuching so soon. Yea, same sentiments I had when I was younger and when I was in Kuching. Somewhat I feel like a bad host, as I did not really bring them her out to more places, making her get kinda stuck in campus. All thanks to the upcoming MST week, got me mugged-up in my books.

Last year at this day,
I first knew you.
Ever since then,
We have been in touch...

From the first day till forever,
U'll always be in my heart.
I will always think of you...

Inspite all the difficulties
Never will I fail you...
Glad I knew you!

Crazy Indian Video

I still remember my cousin sisters were roaring all over my impersonation of an angry Indian man and Ah Mei was recalled her encounter with an indian guy on the MRT... and it's such a coincidence I visited Feng's blog and this YouTube video caught my attention! Now this will definitely be the non-english and non-chinese song I'll be able to sing!

Finally, after like almost a year of delay, and almost 2 years, Ah Mei finally treated McDonalds! So happy she treated me! haa! I was in NUS to visit Ah Mei and Ah Xian as promised last week (Sorry Earns!)

Botak Jones!

What a day at school! I mean, not really at school! Today I woke up at 9.20am for the 10am OOP lesson. By experience, I should be on time. But it wasn't to be today. When I was walking towards the bus stop, the skies suddenly unleashed a torrential barrage of rain! Damn... and it really upset my stomach. Unable to take it, I went home to use the toilet and by the time I was done, it was close to 10am. For other lessons, the lecturer/tutor will still allow the students to come into class. But, this Carlos Acosta will lock the classroom door to bar students from entering the class. Stupid Mexican! Well, I guess I'll have to spend time at home and wait for the 1am CA lesson.

Ok... got to school early at about 12.30pm and I went to FC4 for lunch. Luckily, and I say luckily I met Zhi Kang, who told me that the CA lecturer is not around as he is on a Japan trip, so class is cancelled! And upon hearing the news, everyone decided to give CA as well as the ACS tutorial a miss! zzz... wasted trip to school! I was contemplating weather to go Jurong Entertainment Center to find Earns, JQ and JianLiang for billards. But I remembered that I had to meet Ah Mei, Ah Xian, Ah Qing and Ah A later at 4pm. No idea what their plans are at the moment... So I went home to sleep...again!

Well, the plan was to meet at the Botak Jones in Clementi Central at 6pm. Traffic was a havoc at those times! Waiting for the bus is already pure agony... and waiting in the traffic jam really can make me rip my own head off! Got to Central at about 6.30 by the way...

Today, is really the 1st time I had such wonderful western food! Its really the 1st time I was suffering when I struggled to finish a gigantic plate (Regular sized by the way!) of Fish n Chips! Lucky I didn't order the large plate! Only Ah A and I managed to "Clear Plate", the others knocked out haha!

And yea, Ah Mei told me even more bloopers about Ah Xian. There is an on-going TV variety show about "Good Food and Good Eateries in Poly/Uni Campus in Singapore". The Hosts were Felicia Chin and Xu Zhen Rong. I kinda remembered they were in SP that time, but I wasn't really interested. Anyways, just now about 3pm, Ah Mei and Ah Xian were at the Uni canteen ordering stuffs. Oblivious to them, the Mediacorp people were around and Xu Zhen Rong approached a "blur blur" Ah Xian, asking her what's her order. And obviously Ah Xian being a "tourist to Singapore", does not recognize the TV personality. Her reply to him was "I want rice soup!" Only after she was told by Ah Mei, then she realized her blooper! Oh My God! And to add on to the 'insult', there was another blooper about Ah Xian and a "Handsome Bus Driver" in campus! Everyone just laughed their heads off! It was just an enjoyable dinner with my family!

Below: Xian and I (with Ah A and Ah Mei) at the NUS prata shop, yesterday night.

Below: The main lobby of Senai Airport.

Below: Bon Voyage, Mommy! (Wasted nvr take picture with Mommy..)

It came to me as a surprise that Ah Xian was in Singapore! She's down here for holidays after her exams, also to check out Ah Mei's University. Due to my schedule, I was unable to bring her out. Luckily I was able to squeeze some time out! 2 days ago, we went out shopping at Vivo City and Orchard Road. And yesterday, prata at NUS with Xian, Ah Mei and Ah A.

One in, one out. The "out" was mommy. Today, Mommy took a flight back to Kuching to meet up with Wai Po and Mommy's Sisters (My Ah-Yees). If I'm not wrong, the All-Ladies outing would be at Kota Kinabalu. Glad Mommy went on the family trip. And yea, hope she will enjoy herself. Just now, Pa and I sent her off at Senai Airport in JB. She'll be gone for about a week and will be back next Saturday. Guess I'll have to be a good boy and not create havoc at home!

Roti Prata Muahaha!

Below: Self-made Prata! Woo!

Having seen the frozen prata dough in my fridge, I guess I might just try my hands at making my own Roti Prata. So, I imagined myself as a "Pro Roti Prata Uncle" and remove the 1st piece of dough from its packaging... I splashed the dough on the zinc surface of the sink (Cleaned the sink 1st) and I tried to emulate the Prata Uncle's dough-spreading technique... disaster... forgot to put oil on the zinc surface! The dough got too sticky and it was misshapened! I added some oil, but it got worse... crap! So I dumped the 1st piece of dough away (Mommy was like "Aww, wasted food..")

The second piece of prata (D-shaped) was made by mommy! She told me just cook the prata normally and that the dough don't need too much flattening. So, I scrapped the idea of acting like a pro and I just carefully removed the nd piece of dough from the packaging and gently spreaded it thin. Then I sprinked finely grated cheese and folded it up before tossing it into the teflon! Add a bit of curry (From the Prata Uncle) and hehehe... self-cooked prata!

Being "Dua" (deceived) ain't pleasent at all...

Talk about being faked by your own classmates for a year and a half. Today I was supposed to meet Earns, JiaYi and Chek How to study at Nee Soon South CC at Khatib. However, the latter 2 did not turn up. Worse still, they did not contact me about their inability to turn up. Earns and I was almost left alone in the dark... luckily Earns found out about the incident, else the 2 of us would have waited like "2 dumb fools waiting for ghosts to appear" at Khatib MRT. I was definately pissed. This speaks a lot about one's personal initiative and responsibility. Initiative for being considerate to inform us, responsibility for caring for our feelings. Berating them on the phone or via MSN ain't good enough. I guess I'll give them a piece of my mind when school re-opens next monday.

Once again, 2nd shift for Laplace is the damn stumbling block for me. Guess I'll really have to give it a miss for a while and seek appointment with the lecturer. I'll have to concentrate on the rest of my work.

E-Learning Week

Below: Do you wish I was your husband? (Qn to the ladies!)
Today is the first day of E-Learning Week. Usually, joy and elation should be expected for this "holdiay". But, I was kinda bored as I feel that I had nothing to do except for play computer games, play my new PSP or to do my studies if I were to stay at home. Speaking of studies, I guess I have much catching up to do. Almost all my subjects, I am lagging behind. And if I don't do something about them, I'm gonna eat eggs for the upcoming MST. Heard from some of my friends that we were supposed to go back to school during this period. Today, we're supposed to attend a FYP talk at 3pm and on friday, there is a make-up CA lecture. I don't know how true is that, but its better to believe than to brush it aside as rumors.

Look! My cooking skills just got better! Well, not really cooking... just making good food! For this morning's breakfast, I made 2 slices of toasted bread with salami, mushroom and Polish Herbal Cheese topping! Smells damn good! And also a Roti Moyan with sambal chilli to top things up! Someome will surely be asking me to cook for him/her! I ain't saying who!

JiaQing's 18th B'Day

Yesterday was one hell-of-a-day. Got up early in the morning and rushed to school in time for the 8am maths tutorial. After doing the tutorial and the Laplace Online Quiz, the 3 of us (JQ, Earns and Me) decided to skip ACS lab lesson. We headed down to FC2 for our Branch and later proceeded to the library to slack. Afterwards, before GEMS, we met up with Joyce, Daph and Nicholas to do our GEMS skit. Thank god our efforts were not wasted, as I feel that the presentation of the skit was quite well done. There were a lot of other good skits too. In general, most groups did well.

After the lessons, Earns and I got to FC4 to meet JianLiang and Sotong, the latter 2 who will be helping us in games for the Diploma Day. There were several games such as soduku, darts and captains' ball. Those tall and fast people in my class (including me, as fast) took part in Captain's ball. For the 1st game, we "tok" our opponents 15-0 but, we eventually bowed out to a slightly stronger opponent in the 2nd round... all thanks to a "kelong" referee. Earns took matters into his own hands by blasting a barrage of words to the ref, rendering him speechless!

The Diploma Day ended quite prematurely for the few of us, who lost all the games early. We went home first to get prepped up for JQ's birthday party. I changed into something casual and was on my way. Damned the heavy traffic... but at least I unexpectedly met up with the rest of my classmates on the MRT. And I was quite surprised that people such as Joel, Yong Long and Ronald wanted to come.

JQ's b'day party took place at his so-called "sky gardens". At that place, I could see 3 distinguished groups. Mainly my class, JQ's secondary school class and the 18 HSH group. The only group I was unfamiliar with was his Zhong Zhen schoolamtes (except for Ryan). It was planned that we would get JQ drunk tonight with all the Liquor available; the Johnny Walker, the Martel. A lot of people toasted JQ to his 18th birthday with both shots and mixes. But apparently, he looks quite sober and still could walk straight. It was just fun and more fun at his party, played all sorts of card games, did all sorts of forfeits (Ronald and Joel doing push-ups Oh My God!), etc. Overall a tiring but fun day!

To my bro JQ, happy 18th birthday once more! One 18th only in your life, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Internet Bookings!!

Below: Joyce and Me. So this is what "Cam-Whoring" is all about! =O

My next birthday is almost here (well, actually in another 4 months's time). But, I'm not in a celabratory mood as I have yet to clear my IPPT. I've booked my IPPT test slot at 18/12/2007, 5pm at Maju Camp. From now till then, I've got like 2 months to beat myself back into shape. Buy however, I kinda know that I will never be able to get a below 9.45. Even if I did not manage to get that $400 incentive, $200 isn't so bad either.

Yesterday, I also booked the courses I would like to take next year. Telecommunications being the first, Computer Systems the second and finally Macroelectronics.

North/Peter Cetera - Glory Of Love

Tonight it's very clear
As we're both lying here
There's so many things I want to say
I will always love you
I would never leave you alone

Sometimes I just forget
Say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I don't wanna lose you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of
We'll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

You'll keep me standing tall
You'll help me through it all
I'm always strong when you're beside me
I have always needed you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you've been dreaming of
We'll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

Just like a knight in shining armor
From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
Take you to my castle far away

I am a man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of
We're gonna live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

We'll live forever
Knowing together that we
Did it all for the glory of love

We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love
We did it all for love

Its been freaking ages since I have updated my blog, as I have realized. For the week in whick Bun Jie registered marriage, I was totally busy with my relatives at the same time juggling with the school work. With not much success. (And to think that I thought of working part-time and studying at the same time for this semester..) Lots of work I left undone and lots of concepts un-reinforced and this is making me kinda fear for my performance this semester.

And yea, I realized how hard it is to sleep on the sofa in my living room, and I marvel at how my mom managed to endure for years. (Room "rented" to Wai Po"). Whoa, don't get me wrong... its not that I blame my Sister for getting married or my grandma for staying over at my place, just that maybe I am not as strong as what I myself perceive?

But it all boils down on myself... Last year I was full of drive and determination.. full of unyielding willpower, hell-bent on my goals. This year, and especially recently, that impenetrable barrier began to crumble...

Screwed my biological clock by having troubles sleeping at night. STONING in my bed till 3am... And talking about doing wierd things, I felt like going up to a tree trunk and scream at it till my veins burst... screaming out all those anger and agony at it! Anger at self for loss of determination....

Agony for.... caring so, so, so much... till it hurts...

Bun Jie ah!! ^^

Below: Bun Jie and Zhen Ping Kor all prepped up for their vows while Ah Ju and Kat Kor looks on
Below: Yes, I do, my dear!

Today is a significant day in history... coz Bun Jie and Zhen Ping Kor registered their marriage at the ROM at Fort Canning hill. Witnessing the signing of contracts, declarations and exchanges of vows include families from both sides. More importantly, Sah3 Ku3 and Sah3 Kim3 and most importantly, Wai Po were there! It was just a heart-warming event, to see my big sister being entrusted by her parents to another man. After the ceremony Sah Kim wept tears of joy, Wai Po was all smiles all the way, and although Sa Ku was quite stoinic, I could tell that he was extremely happy for Bun Jie! After the ceremony, everyone went around Fort Canning Hill to take photos of the beautiful scenery! (PS, photos in the Ah Mei's and Ah Bun Jie's Digital Camera!)

Later in the evening, everyone had buffet dinner at Marriots' Hotel Dining Area. The food was sumptious and simply mouth watering. Everyone made merry and had good laughs. People like Ah Mei was trigger-happy with her digital camera; Bun Jie kinda threw away her default "Ladylike Manners" and whooped herself to the food! Super Funny lah her!

The dinner lasted all the way till 9.30pm. After that, well wishes were exchanged and everyone parted our ways. Tomorrow is another working/schooling day that is...

--Hopefully I can get the ROM photos by the end of the week!--

I've put in my ALL,
You think it's NOT GOOD ENOUGH,
A whole lot of BULLSHIT,
Then I say "I've done my BEST!"

Quote from my father, Jack Goh
On one of the nights I'll never forget.

Life's like a punching bag.
Its not about how much punches you can take...
... or how hard they come...
Its about how you take them...
...and how you move forward at the same time

Below: Xiao Hua Xiao Chao, SP Male Contestant Winner M1 (Dunno name) with Fiona Xie. Winner for the Female category was Cherie, as expected by many people. (Photo courtesy from Joycee)

Below: Friendship or Lesbian? Who knows...

What a rude awakening for a Friday morning... Heard from mom that there was a mentally unstable neighbour next block that committed suicide by jumping off the 6th storey. I've seen that chap before; with is fat belly, nerdish specky look, curly hair and unkempt attire. I also heard that her mentally retarded sister also attempted suicide a few years ago, but failed...

After the normal lessons today, JiaQing requested me and Earns to support him for the "Hey Gorgeous!" filming that is slated to happen in school today. So, together with Alvin and other bunch of friends, we waited at the Auditorium for about half and hour before they finally showed up. Ben Yeo Fiona Xie and the shooting crew walked towards us as the whole lot of us pretended to act normal. JQ was a bundle of nerves! Perhaps its Fiona Xie's stunning figure that got most of the guys (well.. including me) stunned? (We were to find out that.. erh... kinda bad news for JQ..)

So after the 15 minutes of fame, we had a quick lunch at FC2 before Earns and I went to the GEMS class. Initially we were disappointed. No outstanding chicks... Suddenly the front door opened slowly and I was chanting "ChioBu ChioBu ChioBu....." POP! JOYCE! (Not counted, coz friend) Both of us were stunned! But its a really pleasent surprise to have friends from different faculties to be in the same GEMS class together without prior notice.

Paying My Respects...

Today after school, I accompany Mommy to The Singapore Buddhist Lodge (新家坡佛教居士林) to pay respects to my late grandfather and ancestors. After that, I treated Mommy to Macdonalds and its back home.

Something i noticed about myself is that I always have the tendency to be very sleepy during the afternoons during schooldays. This made me unable to get shut-eye up till around 3am in the morning! I guess if possible, I'll have to resist the temptation to take afternoon naps...

Wonder if I'll play lanterns tonight? Happy Mooncake Festival!

End of Work at Teck Wah

Below: Vintage Game - Priston Tale. Saw this poster affixed in one of the delivery trucks parked outside the receiving bay. I used to play a spearman while Ah A plays the Mechanician, Ju plays the Warrior and Ray plays the Mage. Awesome Foursome!

Below: I shook my legs while Christopher plays his PSP. One of the rare slack times for us.

Below: Singapore...Sometime in the future...lol

Below: Improbable surrealism... The warehouse is 7 stories high and contain close to 20k palettes. If there is a keyying error, the item being placed inside can be lost for up to 6 years!

Today is the last day of work, self-proclaimed. And the self-proclaimation was confirmed when the Sementec Executive told me that today was my last day. Luckily it was self proclaimed and I didn't give him the pleasure of firing me. Maintained my pride my self-resignation haha!

Today, I was super-slack too. Work was supposed to start at 7.30am but I sauntered in at 7.45am. The best thing was no one complained. Later during lunchtime, I secretly sneaked out of the factory at 11.30am and packed food upstairs. After lunch, I had about 1/2 hour to rest before starting work. So, I decided to take a nap. Who knows, the nap turned out to be a long dream and I woke up at 1.45pm! I rushed back to the factory, and once again, no one noticed lol!

For the remaining 4 days, I guess I should be playing Maple; need to level till 120 before school starts...

Nostalgic Teabreak...

Below: My bowl of Duck Laksa!
Below: Mommy was fighting the heat to finish her food!

Apparently, today's the first and only Saturday for this holidays that I went for Zakum as I was and will be busy with work. After Zak, I went home, while Daniel and Jacky went to watch movies. Once home, I went online immediately and tried to finish off to level 118: success.

After mapling, mommy dragged me downstairs to try the new laksa at the coffeeshop. Initially I was sceptical, but after the 1st mouthful, I wasn't disappointed! Oishi! Duck Laksa! Yes... its great tasting. I ate quickly but carefully (The laksa splashes!) and I was sweating all over! Initially Mommy didn't want to eat coz she was afraid of getting fat! But she couldn't resist too! Mommy had chicken laksa. She too was pouring sweat trying to finish that bowl!

On the way home I had thought of going to sleep as I was super tired after many many days of continuous work. I suddenly brought up the subject about mommy talking very loudly last night, causing me to toss in bed for 3 hrs. She apologized and after that, she told me this which I will clearly remember: " Treasure your loved ones while they last. The time when you sleep quietly will be the time when your loved ones leave you in this world." I felt this sudden sadness, when I think of Grandpa (Ironically, Grandpa used to bring me downstairs to have afternoon tea), I had not treasured him when he was alive, and when he left us, I was so filled with regret and sadness...

I know, I am no longer a child, but a grown adult. And with that, mommy has changed from a gorgeous young woman to one who has suffered a lot because of us three. And although at times, I may dissapoint you, I may yell at you, I just want to let you know that I will treasure you and love you the most in this world!

The rift between Chris and Uncle Ng just got wider; and with everyday's passing this seems to get worse.

From what I see, this problem began when Uncle Ng was doing the night shift(Don't know if its uncle himself or the vice supervisor Clement that committed the error) unknowingly issued the wrong quantity of CDs during the night shift, resulting in an excess of 1 piece of CD in our inventory. The following morning, Chris was super pissed off with Uncle and berated uncle with occasional mild verbal abuses. And from that day onwards, both of them refuse to see eye to eye. When I was with either one of them, they would complain about the opposite party and justify their stand. Chris would tend to be more offensive in his verbal spat, criticizing uncle for being a stupid, petty old man. Uncle on the other hand was more defensive, always telling me his ideals and his stand and his threats to quit Teck Wah. I thought that this cold war would last for a few days the most, I was wrong...

The latest incident was the bigger crack being punched into the wall by a forklift by some Tom-Dick-Harry. Christ, being the "supervisor" questioned Uncle in a seemingly accusing manner and that made their working relation ship spiral all the way down. Chris told me he just "asked" and wasn't "accusing" Uncle for that hole in the wall. But when I approached Uncle and even without asking, he flared up and kept on saying it wasn't his fault. His speech was punctuated with curses aimed at Chris.

I myself have tried to mediate this situation. I wanted both of them to be back on jovial terms. I have tried to talk some sense into both of them but it doesn't seem to work. Imagine, a 40 year old guy having a cold war with a 50 something old man. Childish... Can't they just find a table, sit down and settle these differences once and for all?

Hell Days Ahead..

Below: Chris(centre) and Uncle trying to rearrange the overloaded store.

Below: Tired minds play wierd games...

Chris said, "Hope tomorrow is a better day" with much sarcasm. Yea, I agree with that coz tomorrow is the beginning of "Hell Days"... Already, the storeroom is ladened with unprocessed anti-virus CD. So much so that the spares have to be placed in the loading bay! Today's work is already quite a load; 7.30am to 9.45pm. I even got so mad as to begin imaginning things in the toilet! Make a guess of what I think of this label affixed to one of the flush systems..."L4/M/PD/02/WC". Intreaguing...

Fearless B'day!

Below: Happy B'day to Jacob, PhD and Fearless!
Below: Yong Shen, Angie and Me

I was lucky yesterday work ended at noon so I could head home to take a nap. After nap, I headed down to Pasir Ris for the Fearless Chalet at Costa Sands resort. Screw the taxi driver for not knowing Costa Sands!

By the time I reached the chalet everyone was there more or less. (Kris)Snow, (Cai Ming)Junnie, (Daniel)Obsin, (Dickson)Thug, (Jacob)Drizzen, (Eric)EricEx, PhDProdigy, DkBoyBoy, (Jacky)SkyAdvance, (Yong Shen)Death, (Xiong)LOVEDremix, (Sheng Yun)XiiaoDk and (Angie)Angi3th3mag3. The only few people who turned up later were Cornfiakes, Panda and FindingGF (retrieve Mahjong set).

During the initial part of the evening and for most of that, we had barbecue. (Hotdogs, cheeze hotdogs, Stingrays, Satay, Fishballs, Corns, etc). Everyone just mingled freely, chatting playing games, poking fun, etc etc.

Then later it was time to celebrate the birthdays of Drizzen and PhD as well as the Fearless's 1st Birthday but cutting the Fearless Cake. Drizzen's and Phd's face were smouched with cake all thats to Corn!

Later in the night, several people left and the rest that remained played mahjong as well as 21-dian. There were rumors that in order to play mahjong with GF, 1m mesos per tile is a must. Rich... Instead, we played 21-dian most of the time. Poor GF and Me, and lucky Daniel won the most! Great thing he treated everyone macdonalds in the morning!

Overall, I am thankful for the Kris and the rest of those who helped her to organize this chalet. Its quite hard to get everyone down and I feel those who came down should be thanked for taking time off their studies or work to make this gathering a happening one.

Need to take the chalet photos from EricEx..

Below: Its really boring slacking in one corner. But being paid to slack... cool...

Today's the first day at work at Teck Wah. A company that manufacture and package software. I was posted to department that produces Norton Anti-Virus 2008 Edition software. Talk about coincidence... There, I met 2 chaps by the name of Christopher and "Uncle" (he wants me to address him that way. Real name is Mr Ng). Both of them taught me much of the departments runnings and explained my job scope to me. Thank god both of them are cheerful and super-friendly...

And thank my luck stars that I am posted to this department that is literally SLACK! All I did was running errands and that is about all for the time being. I estimated, I spent about 60%.. maybe 70% of the time stone'ing in the air-conditioned office! There was this temp staff that came after me, and he was posted to the loading/unloading bay! Poor bastard will surely sweat because there is no air-conditioner there.

The payout is like this: A total of $45 from 7.30am to 5.30pm (regular working hours). After that it's OT at $7 an hour. For Saturdays, each working hour is worth $7 and for Sundays, each working hour is at a whooping $9! I get paid to partially slack! Now, that is not a bad deal.

I have tried to pull my buddies Earns and JianLiang to my department. Hope it happens next week.

Freaking heavy rain today! Seems like it has never really rained in weeks and suddenly the heavens unleashed this massive downpour! The drains were gutted and filled to the brim, water was soaking up the carparks and even close to entering the shophouses behind my house!

I was on my way to Boon Lay then. After a slow MRT ride, I met up with JianLiang and Earns as we went for the job application. We reached the destination, which seems to be a minivan parked along the side of the road. It had a sign that reads "China, Myanmar, Thai Nationals Welcome". God! Do we look like PRCs, Laotians or KoKrumKrappers? Anyway, we just grabbed the application forms and filled it in. We were told that this job was wrapping and packing books. And its from 7pm to 7am. Good. I think I should be able to handle that as I already had some experience in Tian Wah. Hope the boss can call ASAP, I want to earn $$$!

Friday, August 24, 2007

Finally, the Sessional Exams are over and I can sit back and relax already. I could only remember all the days when I made my way to Pasir Ris, Orchard, Yishun and Woodlands to study. Also, all the night's of mugging... I hope all of that was worth it.

Now its the start of the month-long holidays. I feel playing maplestory and get my hermit to level 120. Yet, on the other hand, I feel like working. Earns had a job to intro me and I guess I'll most likely take that offer. At least, working with a friend beats working alone.

Can't wait to see whats on store for me this holiday!

Cool Shit in Orchard!

Below: Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
Below: Porsche Boxster

These 2 supercars were spotted just outside Hilton Hotel at Orchard Rd. One's a lime-green Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. The other it's a Porsche Boxster (Thanks, Feng for helping me ID). What a sight to behold... supercars...

Maths Revision...

Freak.... Fourier Series is really a killer. Chapter 6, defining which periodic function is odd, even and odd+constant is hard. I just used "agak-ration" and glance through that topic. Chapter 7, is the one that I have been trying ALL DAY to figure out; "Fourier Series in Trigonometric Form". It encompasses Chapter 6 (damn...) I still got Chapters 8, 9, 10 and 11 (All Fourier Series!) to go... and I just 50%/50% figured out chapter 7 only. There are a couple of formulas that need memorization as I do not know how to derive it.

Regret man; should have paid attention to the lectures and done the tutorials. Else I wouldn't be struggling like shit now. I want and "A", but deep down inside I harbour thoughts of getting that distinction... I really wanna bash that smart ass Joel (PUI!!) upside-down in maths and if possible pip Jun Yi (respect here...). I was almost perfect for the MST and was 50% there already... but why must I Lao-Kui now? Seems like the ya-ya-pa-pa-ya syndrome kicked in after the MST1 and it happened too, last year's MST2. This made my End of year MathsI paper chui...

Ok, now that I somehow know how to do the tutorial questions for Chapter 7 *Finally after a whole day of brain power*, I feel my moral boosted! Full steam ahead! 6am here I come! #_#

Public Display of Affection

The old might not agree, but these days, many young people don't seem to mind displaying their lovey-dovey side of nature in public. It so happened I witnessed not one, but 2 incidents today.

On the MRT home from Orchard, I noticed that there was this chinese couple standing just on front of me. The guy's about 1.78m tall and a bit fat. He seems to be in his mid-20s, wearing a faded and crumpled singlet and shorts. He also had an unshaven stub on his chin. The lady is about 1.6m tall and looks to be in her early 20s. She was wearing a bright green blouse. So... this tall guy got his meaty arms wrapped around her while using both his fists to clasp the centre pole, and at first I noticed they kissed... ok, quite normal. Then the lady broke the kiss and inserted her index finger into the sides of the guy's singlet and start stroking his nipple, all this while both of them were maintaining a lovestruck gaze at each other's face! I was like "WTF?! O_0 .... I pretended to look other direction.. damn! Must be a new karmasutra method out of the books...

The 2nd incident, also happens on the way hone, also happens to be in the same MRT, same carriage and just side by side only! Gosh... The 2nd couple... The lady's description is about the same's the above. But she was wearing a white strapless top with jeans and she had that kind of sporty look and physique. Seems american-chinese to me. Yes indeed! because her boyfriend is a caucasian! The guy maybe arould her age, due to his boyish looks, is about 1.85m and he's quite well built. He was wearing a tight-fitting T-shirt couple with cargo jeans. No, they did not kiss, but they did use their noses to stroke and rub each other's noses. Aww... cute... Later, again, and as expected, it was the girl that gets horny. The Ang-Mor had his right hand out to hold the rail. The girl was leaning on the glass panel and she was like taking the ang-mor's right hand and slowly kissing the underside of it (nono, not the armpits). Then later and coincidentally like the previous couple, she used her index finger to circle the Ang-mor's left nipple; so much untill the lucky guy's nipple-erection can be noticed!

Crap, why was I in the carriage full of horny love-birds?!

Teacher oh teacher...

Screwed up teacher are few and far in-between in school. But it so happened I came into contact with one of them today. There was this particular teacher that was one of the invigilators for today's MCT exam.

Today, the moment I stepped into class for my MCT paper, she instructed me to place my belongings on the tables at the back of the class. Sounds quite normal for a teacher. But when I was talking to Earns halfway, she interrupted my conversation with her snap. I cocked my head in my direction and gave her a stare. Oh man, from that look it is apparent that she's that classic all-girls school strict disciplinarian teacher. She was also staring at me in the eye with equal intensity. I backed out... since it’s an exam.

Later prior to the commencement of the exam, everyone was given 10 minutes of reading time. During that time I just looked around class to observe the surrounding. And, I could not help but observe that teacher (again!). First, she complaint about earns and about his slippers. Then she gave some negative comment on Chek How's student card. I just wonder how many more students she has to pick on.

Examination in progress... examination's about to end. I packed my stationery and was about to submit the paper, when that! teacher! approached my desk to inspect my paper. I had forgotten to fill in the question numbers and she used her index finger to constantly rap my paper on the table. In my head I was like "What the fuck do you want from me, bitch?” Her next words got me out of my thoughts:

"Young man, can you stop wearing this type of shirt to school, it’s very offensive!" Her voice is kinda loud and I can guarantee that at least a 5 seat radius can hear her ranting! She was making reference to the "Pepsi/Penis shirt I was wearing. I just filled in the question numbers, my admin number and casually tossed my paper in her general direction. I got up, get my stuffs and left the examination venue. That was not all!

When JQ, Fred, Shen Ye and I were discussing some of the questions outside the examination room, "SHE! RWAR!" came out to piss me off again. She said something like "You all, there is still an exam in progress, can you all go somewhere else to talk?!" the 4 of us turned to leave and she followed us all the way along the walkway till it was of a suitable distance from the exam venue.

Such strict disciplinarian, no-nonsense, meticulous teacher. Really, it’s a dying breed in schools these days, needless to say Polytechnics. This incident really reminded me of my JC Tutor, Ms Tie... I think I'll remember Ms Tie for the rest of my life. Nostalgic Nightmare...

But still who cares what I wear? You might say this is an educational institution. But then, I’ll just show you the middle and preach the freedom of speech and expression. I am who I am, you are not my mother and I'm damn alright and I don't need your useless comments. It doesn't show you care, it just shows how provocative you are... much more provocative than my PENIS!

Its been a super slack day today, I just did almost nothing... Eat and sleep, thats all. Now its in the evening, and I feel much better. I just want to continue on my revision. But problem is, all my past-year papers are stored in my D drive and I can't have access to it. Guess I'll have to mug my books afterall.

Tomorrow morning, I'm gonna get that laptop fixed once and for all! Afterall, I've promised to take care of that laptop and use it for at least the next 10 years! Oh ya, tomorrow is also the final test for GEMS. It has the heaviest weightage of 40%! Must kill that paper!

Wednesday, August 08, 2007

I forgive you... and I will never forgive myself...

Angel: "The problem does not lie with your laptop or your handphone. It lies within you."
Devil: "Come on la! He is having a bad day already... Can't you just let him get pissed and let off his temper?"
Angel: "The consequence that follows, you have to bear with it."

So be it... I choose the devil...

Do you feel like a man,
when you push her around?
Do you feel better now...
she falls to the ground?
Well I tell you my friend
one day this world's gonna end.
As your lies crumble down,
new life she's found...

Mid Year Exam: A Forecast...

The Mid semester exams are coming and I'm gonna psyche myself to to the best I can. Hopefully it can match the grades I've obtained for my MST. Exception being Logic Design. This, I must DEFINITELY do better! If not I am not Kevin Goh Han Leong!

An analysis of what is to come:

Analog Systems: Presumably, my best subject. But, it was kind of heart-shattering to only get 83 for the retest. Lost to my 2 good buddies. But still, an "A" is an "A". All I need to do is to remember what I've learnt from Topic 1 to 2D and master the remaining chapters.

Engineering Maths II: Kind of a surprise for me during the MST because I merely expected to get a B+ for it. Still, overconfidence should be locked away. Damn, I remember, last year when I got a 100 marks for my MST2, only to be brought down-to-earth by a sucky performance in my Final Year Paper. Focus: Fourier Series...

MCT: It was my weakest subject. But with a streak of luck, I got an "A" for it during the MST1. Must do something to keep this lucky streak going.

Logic Design: "D" for DUH! The biggest focus must go to this subject. Lots if creativity is needed to score and "A" for this, and I mean.. a lot...

Overall: In sequence, with reference to the above, I hope I can get a "AAAB" for them. Realistically speaking, its impossible to get "A" for LD already since I flunked the MST. The goal is set, now... action speaks...

He said..."I love weed..." XP

Oh man, when will Mdm Safura ever complete marking my MST AS paper? The only hint she told me was that I already had 3 quesntions wrong for the MCQs. 91 marks left... As what I had dreamt. Could it be true? Hmm.. maybe its just a dream afterall.

Prior to the AS final lab test, JQ and CE was over at my house slacking for several hours, due to the fact that Mdm Safura kinda "refused" to mark my paper. We played "XXXXX" poker with disasterous effect. Oh man, oh god!

Later on, in the evening, I met up with Ah A, Ju, Bun Jie, Kat Kor, Ah Qing, Ah Mei and of course Ah Zing and had dinner at Jurong Point at the Sushi Restaurant. After all these years, AH Zing never really changed. Still as crappy and cocky as before. He was in Singapore since yesterday morning and up till today afternoon for a brief visit before flying back to Kansas USA to complete his last year in univarsity there.

After dinner, Kat Kor, Bun Jie and Ah Qing went back home for rest as they had to work the following day. For me, I enlisted the help of Uncle Francis to help Ah Mei move her stuffs from her old hostel in PGP to the new one near Raffles Hall. It was during that time, I realized the extent of the injury incurred to my back. While standing straight or walking upright seem to give me no problems, it was when I bend down to pick something up, the pain shot through my lower spine! I think I need to get some medicated plasters stuck to my back...

Later at around 3pm, is Ah Zings flight to the states. Doubt I could send him to the airport as I had classes. Anyway, hope he does well for his final year, hope time flies so that we can all see him soon. Miss his jokes man..

Jamming+Basketball+Soccer= -..-

Today is a super slack day even though its a regular school day. Syllabus for maths done, so i guess no need to go for lectures. The RWP lesson, luckily, I did not attend. Earns told me the teacher just used her laptop and sipped coffee only. Total waste of time.

So, the first thing I did was to join Earns, JQ and JianLiang at FC1 for breakfast. After breakfast, everyone sabo'ed Earns to JianLiang's class! Oh God, NahSiep! Later, the 4 of us joined Darren and Manji for a 2 hr Jamming session at Moberly. I must say, Manji is damn good with the base guitar, Darren is good at almost everything... drums, piano and the electric guitar is his forte. Earns is only good at screaming.. thats all... nothing else! =P

At about 1pm, the 3 of them headed down to my house for slack time and 18-jin bu jin part 14. And, I noticed that everytime JQ comes to my house, he would flop on my bed for a good afternoon nap. Snores loud too!

After slacky hour, we headed back to school for the Project 2 interview. 1 word to describe it: Disaster. Summerised, short and sweet.

After the Project 2 lesson, the 3 of us (JQ went to meet Tiff) headed down to the basketball court. Together with WeiJie, XiaoJian and ShengYe, we played till about 5 plus. After that, JL, Earns and me had dinner at KFC.

After dinner, Darren and Manji came to pick us up in Darren's minivan. Cool van, blasting trance anthem with subwoffer! Rocks absolutely! We went to the clementi street soccer court to sweat it out. After the game, I was totally shagged out. And the most unfortunate thing that happened was JianLiang losing his phone. Luckily it seems that someone in school got it. And both parties came to an agreement to meet at SPGG tomorrow at 3pm for JL to get back his phone. With that aside, we went to have some ice kacang nearby and its home sweet home for me.

Jamming+Basketball+Soccer= -..-

Something quite random... That is, a still shot of myself in mid-air kicking the basket ball off JiaQing's neck. Super high-risk manouvre...

18 禁不禁

Below(L-R): PeiPei, XiaoXin, DiQiu, YouJia, AhJie, Qiao and AhBi (the tomboy HaoZi missing)

I am a person who doesn't watch chinese drama serials on TV. True enough. But this Taiwanese drama caught my attention, and ya, its not from the TVs. It can be downloaded from the internet.

18 Jin Bu Jin is about the lives and happenings of 17-18 years old teenagers going through college in Taiwan. The show is full of deliberate blunders that will guarentee make you smile. At times, it can also be touching too. Each episode is about an hour and 20 minutes long. Currently, the show is into its 13th epidode and the 14th episode is slated to come out tomorrow (that is, me and my friends go to the computer club o watch it).

Must watch!

Laptop formatted the second time. And hopefully, this time round, nothing crops up. Still, I've got problems retaining my MSN contacts in their respective groups. Apparently, whenver I login my MSN, all my contacts would be re-grouped back to "other contacts", and rearranging them is starting to get on ly nerves.
.
The AS retest I took today was kinda hard as compared to the initial paper. All I want is just 80 marks and above; nothing more.

I'm Bringing My Laptop Back To The Doctor Again...

Below: Tecky and JoJo
Below: Kev and Dan

Below: Everyone still has a childish side in them
Below: Friendship lasts ^^

This particular entry is early in the morning 4.15am on a beautiful sunday after I retyped the entire 1st draft for the RWP Report...
.
Yesterday morning till early afternoon, I spent time trying to recover more lost data for my computer. Thanks dear for sending me lots of pictures and several songs that I need. Although I was unable to recover all of them, I am happy that at least some of them are retrieved. Prior to that I got many essential programs up and running (Firefox, MSN, Maplestory). My laptop seems to be in good shape...
.
Later in the afternoon, I met up with the all the available Mortar chaps for dinner at Suntec City. The agenda for the outing was to meet up with Johannes, who's currently in Singapore and is going back to Indonesia during late August. Really, it has been quite some time since I hang out with the whole bunch. Li Yang told me that he was in the organizing committee for the Funkamania 08 event that is slated to happen at Takashimaya, and he required our support; Can't wait to find out more of it. Tecky is having so much fun with his Cheerleading activities. Feng, Daniel Lim and Geoff were doing part time job at Suntec city about a couple of weeks ago and judging from their experiences with other happening people, they must have had a good time working there! How I wish that the Poly school term is in sync with that of the Universities. We had dinner at Carl's Jr. After dinner we hit the arcade and after that, we chatted and slacked at the Ya Kun outlet there.
.
Once I got home about 12am, I got a rude shock. I discovered that my laptop was not in my room. Instead it was on Ju's table. And the screen displayed alarming warnings of spyware, malware and trojan attacks! The total number of malicious codes numbered at 36! Also, several seemingly unreliable anti-spyware and anti-virus programs appeared on my desktop. I deleted most of them. However, one of the programs somehow found a way to get itself embedded into the system. I tried all ways to get rid of it but to no avail. Thus I decided to virus-scan all my personal files and coursework and saved them in a uncorrupted folder. Following that, I plan to save that folder in a exteral hard disk and get my laptop reformatted again to get rid if the embedded spy/malwares and trojan; tentatively this Wednesday.
.
Naturally, I was pissed. But admitedly, I don't dare vent my anger on Ju eventhough those programs were evidently downloaded while I was not at home. When Ju went off for supper, I just kept on complaining and ranting curses while my mom tried to calm me down. Eventually I settled down and started doing my report for the next 4 hours. Quarreling doesn't seem to be my forte anymore. A sign of weakness? Throughout my whole course of study, my laptop had been more or less free from such malicious problems. I just couldn't believe that it struck once I had my computer formatted. I though of changing my password and keeping the laptop usage exclusively for myself. The temptation is so compelling... But I figured, just because of this problem, I cannot be selfish to my younger brothers, right?

My Laptop Crashed

The functionality of my laptop came to a halt last night and it cause me to temporary lose mood in my studies. The problem seem to start when I decided to delete 11GB worth of games (Neverwinter Nights and NSF Carbon). NWN was successfully uninstalled. However, as the NSF is a pirated copy that does not require a disc to run, and also it lacks the uninstallation file, I just clicked the delete option. Files that are of the "xxx.dll" seems critical. But i thought since its under those games folders, they could only be critical to the games. Delete anyway...After that, I did a disk defragmentation on my C drive, following that, I did scandisk and then the virus scan. During the virus scan, I left the laptop running and went to the kitchen to make supper. After eating, I came back and to my horror, my computer was in critical mode and it just shut off before my eyes! I tired to revive my computer for 2 hours, but failed. In the end, I just gave up and went to sleep.
.
The next day, I brought my sick laptop to see the doctor. I explained to the technician all my problems. She got a disk labeled "winternal" and tried to fix my laptop. She seemed to get into some difficulties and she got this indian guy to help. I told the indian guy to preserve my D Drive as all my critical data are all inside it. Then, he programmed something in my computer and did the reformatting process. While waiting, I chatted with a student helper about the games in my computer. The surprising thing he told me was that NSFC had a malicious virus that would trigger whenever the user deletes the game from the computer! I don't know how true was that! The reformatting process would take about an hour. In the meantime, I followed Earns, JQ and See Kiang to FC2 for breakfast. After breakfast, I headed back to the service center. After the formatting has been done and the systems finally booting up, I did all the necessary programming of the system files needed to connect to the school network. But, I can't seem to find all my personal data in the D Drive. I feel that the indian guy made a mistake and did a full format of my laptop. When the other technicians asked him, he pushed the blame to the other student helper! Fucktard!
.
Losing all my personal information and data in my Laptop and reformatting it all over again is just like moving into a new house without all your belongings... Just got this pissed-off feeling that I must try to install all the necessary programs back to my reformatted laptop. (Anti-virus, School Network Files, Printer Files, Samsung PC suite files, MSN, etc...) Also, all my school work and course resources were gone; need to go to blackboard to get most of them back. Unretrievable items such as RWP, I have to start from scratch.
.
Perhaps the most painful is losing all my Music and Picture files. They really mean a lot to me. And now I don't know weather to blame myself for being so itchy-handed *delete button-happy*, or should I blame that Indian technician for this mess.
.
Anyway, I thought maybe I should get an external drive to back-up my information. Last time, I had faith that I would take care of my laptop and that it won't crash. I was wrong... The unexpected can strike. Johannes is in Singapore, so I guess while on outing tomorrow with everyone, I should go check it out.
