Terminator salvation was a blast for me!! The movie is packed with lots of action that simply blew my mind away! Also (unlike T3), the movie has a certain essence of the "human touch". The prototype cyborg, Marcus Wright (Played by Sam Worthington) used to be a prisoner on a death penalty. Before dying he decided to donate his body to Skyney company for research (for the good of mankind I presume). And years later, after Skynet became "self-aware", he was "resurrected" with only his heart and brain within a chasis of a cyborg. Essentially, he is a Terminator with a mind of his own. However, after he realized that he was "manufactured" anguish overtook him and he refuses believe that he's machine. Although created by Skynet as the perfect infiltration weapon, he helps the human resistance in their fight against Skynet. In the end (much like what the T800 did to himself), Wright sacrificed himself by giving his heart to the mortally-wounded John Connor (played by Christian Bale). As what Wright said, "Everybody deserves a 2nd chance, and I've got mine".
I had always wanted to watch a Terminator movie that portraits the events after "Judgment Day". And after reading reviews about the director MCG (can't recall what's his full name), I kinda got apprehensive that the movie would turn out good. Afterall, MCG was the director of Charlie's Angels! After watching it, I feel that MCG did a good job synthesizing all the different bit's and pieces from the previous Terminator movies and created a story with a rather good plot. Congrats to MCG for finally making a good movie!
From the way the story flows, my guess is that there will be a next installment to the Terminator series! Please! More terminaotors, but keep the storyline good!
